All manufacturing data for Apple’s products, modules, and manufacturing equipment is gathered, consolidated, and tracked by the Manufacturing Systems and Infrastructure (MSI) team on a global scale. This data is used throughout the business and the lifecycle of the product, from the very beginning to confirm that units being built are thoroughly tested and of high quality before leaving the factory, all the way through to warranty support for customers. The MSI team at Apple is looking for a Big Data Engineer who has a genuine passion for creating exceptional products and a keen understanding of the user experience. Using cutting-edge technologies like Spring, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark and others in a large-scale infrastructure, we create web applications as well as batch and streaming analytics solutions.  Key Requirements.
  •  deep expertise in creating large-scale distributed computing systems.
  •  knowledge and experience in one or more of the following technologies: Big Data ecosystem, Kafka, Distributed SQL Database (Snowflake,), HBase, Cassandra, Iceberg, Spark,
  •  expertise in one or more of the following technologies: Big Data ecosystem, Kafka, Distributed SQL Database (Snowflake, ), HBase, Cassandra, Iceberg, Spark,
  •  working extensively with one or more SQL database systems, such as PostgreSQL – define schema.
  •  Strong software development, problem-solving, and debugging abilities with knowledge of one or more of the languages Java, Python, or Scala.
  •  With experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, or Scala, strong software development, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
  •  having expertise in AWS/GCP or Azure as well as Kubernetes, Docker, and other containerization technologies while building cloud native platforms.
  •  ideally 5 years of experience designing, putting into place, and maintaining highly scalable data pipeline systems with large amounts of data.
  •  adept at quickly understanding and simplifying extremely complex problems into clear, understandable solutions.
  •  Nice to have data governance and security experience.
  •  Possessing knowledge of tools for data visualization and reporting on large data sets is nice.
